I particularly liked the Doodle Pages and Al Stohlman's Craftool Tech Tips. Being a very rural kid, if I couldn't mail order it, I wasn't going to get it. I don't think there was any other easy way to learn about tools and types of leather unless you were fortunate to have a Tandy store in your city. This periodical was mostly about selling Tandy and Craftool supplies and bootstrapping a market for them - but I was okay with that. Then it came BACK as "The Leather Craftsman" when MIWL went bankrupt and I don't know when it ended exactly(I think in 1991). I do have a complete run of "The Leather Craftsman" up through November 1968, and then I'm missing a handful of issues up to 1972, where it abruptly became "Make It With Leather" under Earl Warren's editorship. I don't have any of these early newsletters. SUMMARY: "The Leather Craftsman" was proceeded by a tabloid format newsletter called "Leathercraft News" that was put out for several years through the Tandy store outlets.
